Dr. Alina Bouza is a board certified psychiatrist and licensed physician in private practice.  Dr. Bouza works with adults and provides both psychotherapy and medication management (if needed).  She has a broad range of training and experience, and addresses a variety of emotional and psychological concerns such as:

  • depression (including during pregnancy and postpartum)
  • anxiety / stress
  • addictions including maintenance treatment with buprenorphine (Suboxone)
  • trauma and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
  • ADHD
  • bipolar disorder

About Dr. Bouza

Dr. Bouza has lived and worked in Seattle area for over 25 years.  She received her undergraduate degrees from University of Washington, and is a graduate of University of Washington School of Medicine.  Dr. Bouza's psychiatry residency was completed at a prestigious Yale University, and that is also where she studied addiction psychiatry.  Dr. Bouza has training and experience in several forms of psychotherapy including, but not limited to, psychodynamic psychotherapy and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).  She has worked at a community clinic, substance abuse clinic, methadone and Suboxone programs, and at a local health care organization.  Also, she has authored a book chapter on substance-related disorders.

 

Dr. Bouza's approach is to treat each patient as a unique individual they are.  Her goal is to provide compassionate and collaborative care, and to help you achieve your goals.

 

In her free time Dr. Bouza enjoys spending time with her family, reading, spending time outdoors, and traveling.
